Amulets of Ksitigarbha Buddha.
Ksitigarbha Buddha (also written Kshitigarbha , Chinese: Dizang ,
Tibetan: Sa-Ee Nyingpo ),
is the Bodhisattva who took the vow not to attain Enlightenment
before hell is empty.
He is most often represented with in his left hand
a wish-granting jewel and in the right a cane
which serves him to force the gate of hell to go and teach the Dharma there.
Ksitigarbha Buddha amulets are rare and precious.
This Buddha is traditionally the protector
pregnant women, children and travelers,
It protects against natural disasters and prolongs life.
Due to the nature of his actions, he is also a Buddha closely linked to anyone involved in humanitarian work and going to dangerous places to help others (firefighters, rescuers, doctors, etc.).
