are portraits of contemporary Venerables or not,
in the form of medals, amulets or even fortune tickets.

Quite often these amulets contain relics, whether
a piece of the Venerable's monk's outfit ( Gee Won relic)
or for example some of his hair ( Géssa relic).

Wearing the image of a Venerable is a way of paying homage to him,
to receive his blessings and remember him
as an example in your Dharma practice.
