This large, traditional Chinese rosary made of precious wood is an object of profound spiritual practice, produced in a limited edition in the 1990s for a Chinese temple in Thailand. Designed for the recitation of mantras, meditation, and spiritual protection, it belongs to the great tradition of Sino-Buddhist malas.

Inside, two distinct iconographic faces can be distinguished: on one side the Buddha ĆÄkyamuni, and on the other a representation uniting the standing Buddha, Guan Yin and KáčŁitigarbha, symbolizing awakened wisdom, infinite compassion and the protection of beings.
