Very beautiful large antique amulet depicting Phra Nak Prok , the Buddha protected by the Naga Mucalinda. In Thailand this Buddha is seen as the protector of people born on a Saturday. This rare piece comes from the Udhon Thani region of northern Thailand, an area renowned for its deep spiritual traditions and ancient temples. Made from sacred powder , it has a dark, natural patina indicative of its age and long devotional use.
The image of the Buddha sitting in meditation, sheltered under the seven-headed cobra, is a powerful symbol of protection, inner peace and stability in the face of hardship .
