This large, ancient Lersi amulet is crafted from sacred plant paste using traditional methods that are now difficult to precisely trace. It represents a Lersi, a hermit and thaumaturge of Thai spiritual tradition, a master of mantras, magical plants, and the occult sciences.
The exact origin of this series of amulets remains unknown, which is common for many ancient artifacts transmitted outside official temple channels. Nevertheless, several elements attest to its antiquity and its authentic ritual use.
On the reverse side, three sacred Takut scrolls are embedded within the amulet itself. Takut scrolls are traditionally imbued with formulas for protection, stability, and spiritual mastery. Their presence indicates advanced ritual work and a strong protective purpose.
The number 2508 is visible on the back of the amulet, corresponding to the Buddhist year 2508, or 1965. This indication reinforces the hypothesis of an ancient manufacture, probably intended for personal or initiatory use.
