Ritual shirt of a monk, Pa-Yant Sanghati – Consecrated by Luang Phor Dooh (1982)

This ritual Sanghati Pa-Yant is an exceptional piece from Wat Sakai (Ayutthaya), specially hand-decorated by the temple's monks . Every symbol, every line, every yant was drawn according to sacred tradition and then consecrated in 1982 , on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the founding of Wat Sakai .

Unlike an ordinary ang-sa, this fabric is a ritual garment used only for sacred ceremonies, blessings, and protective rituals. It is worn across the body like a monastic stole to amplify the powers of the yant, to invoke good fortune, protection, and merit.

The motifs present include yant of protection, blessing and prosperity , according to the teachings passed down in the lineage of the Very Venerable Luang Phor Dooh , legendary master of Wat Sakai.
