This amulet represents Nagas Kanya , the female naga goddess, a sacred figure associated with the underworld, deep waters, and hidden treasures. Here, she is depicted in a seated, hieratic, and meditative pose, embodying mastery and restraint.
The amulet appears to be about thirty years old . Its precise origin is unknown. It was acquired in Thailand, but its iconographic style is clearly Tibetan , both in terms of posture, facial stylization, and the overall aesthetic of the representation.
Identical female Nagas can be found on some Thangkas.
It is presented in an antique metal reliquary decorated with polychrome enamels , carefully crafted, protecting the statuette and reinforcing its ritual and spiritual function.
Nagas Kanya is considered a guardian of subtle riches, karmic luck, and the esoteric knowledge associated with the nagas. She is invoked to attract protection, flowing prosperity, heightened intuition, and to remove invisible blockages related to fears, old vows, or negative influences. Her presence is believed to calm unstable energies and strengthen the connection between the material world and the unseen forces.
