Khuman Thong Charoen Sab Amulet consecrated by Venerable LP Som Thirathammo of Wat Bandan (Prachinburi).
This series of small Khuman Thong with a rooster on their knees was dedicated on October 2013 during a ceremony at Wat Bandan during which Khuman Thong statuettes were also dedicated.
Unlike the Khuman Thong statuettes, the Khuman Thong amulets do not have an individual child ghost attached to them. They are images of a large Khuman Thong which is kept in the temple and whose protection is sought through these amulets.
They are worn as protection and Thai worshipers use them for various purposes:
- You can get two of these amulets, leave one around the neck of a Khuman Thong who stays at home and wear the second one so that your Khuman Thong can "follow you" and protect you in your everyday life.
- You can also place one of these amulets in an empty statuette (or even in a simple doll or a bather) to animate it and do what is called a "Look Thep".
If you really want, nothing prevents you from making a miniature altar for this Khuman Thong amulet (with a dollhouse, or a "magic tree" for example) and making small offerings to it.
