Kunpai Mantra Amulet of the Most Venerable Luang Phor Ophassi – Ancient Protection from World War II
The Kunpai Mantra is one of the most famous protective mantras in the modern history of Thai Buddhism. It was transmitted during World War II by the Venerable Luang Phor Ophassi to protect his disciples when bombers flew over his region daily.
Originally handwritten and then printed, this mantra was eventually engraved on durable materials to preserve its power. Its reputation stems from a miraculous event: throughout the entire period of bombing, not a single bomb fell on the temple or its surroundings, despite daily air raids.
The Kunpai mantra is recited as follows:
“Itisukato Arahanbuddho Mamobuddhaya Pathavikongkong Phra Bhummadeva Khamamihan”
It is traditionally kept in a wallet or around the neck for protection against extreme dangers: bombs, weapons, road accidents, attacks, or serious misfortune. This sacred scroll is a blessed version faithful to the teachings of the Venerable Luang Phor Ophassi.

Even today, those who wear it feel a silent presence, like an invisible hand that deflects dangers and opens the way to a safer future.
